The Associated Press has the electoral count at 82 for Barack Obama 34 for John McCain. There are 270 electoral votes required to win the election.

The Associated Press is calling the state of Illinois, with its 21 electoral votes, for Barack Obama. The AP is also confirming that New Jersey and New Hampshire have both gone to Obama.

Gov. Warner Wins Senate Bid

Democratic former Virginia Gov. Mark Warner won his bid for the Senate. Warner beat another former governor, Republican Jim Gilmore, in the race to replace retiring five-term Sen. John W. Warner.
In South Carolina, Sen. Lindsey Graham, a close adviser to GOP presidential nominee Sen. John McCain, won a second term, defeating Democrat Bob Conley.
