I am concerned by the number of voters who participate in the nominating process. I feel a primary is much more inclusive of all voters, rather than the causus process (Participation numbers in Texas bare this out — 2.8 million voters v. 100,000 caucus goers). Primaries in both states also provide the same process as used in January instead of changing the type of voting. More expensive, yes, but more voters will be able to participate in the nominating process. I have lost faith in the caucus system after learning about the “Texas Two-Step” this year … which I feel shows voters being dis-infranchized by the caucus process. Let the military, infirmed, workers and others who may vote absentee or early be heard in the nomination process.
