I saw this film (or the working version of
it) at Long Island's Cinema Arts Center in
2007. While it sounds like an odd combination
it is in fact a lovely piece of work. Fans
of 1920's music will enjoy it immensely and
animation enthusiasts will see some beautiful
work. If you like both, you'll be in paradise---- oops, sorry, Nirvana!

Oops... May I learn to poke around more on sites before concluding that they're not updated regularly. But I did hit Refresh! Don't know why that didn't work but then I hit your "Blog" button and found the current post.

Before the tyrannical racist ex-mayor Giuliani insulted all Asian-Americans by banning the use of firecrackers by the public for the New Year celebration, the celebration was 1000% better than it is now.

Those confetti tubes are an expensive joke, and are more dangerous than the small firecrackers they replaced. If one of those tubes went off in your face you would definitely get hurt!

One of the photos I took at the Parade. I call it "Respect" because of the regal dignity this woman shows in her face.

The Chinese New Years Parade has to be the most colorful and special event in NYC. I've never encounter a more happier event in all of the events that I've taken photographs at in the past year. While there was a large police presence it did not hamper in any way the celebrants or cause much consternation amongst them. Despite the ever increasing commercialism of most festival events in this city, the Chinese or Lunar New Years Parade retains its unique flavor and colors.
